シャンプー＆リンス

ご自身の肌質や髪質に合ったシャンプー＆リンスをお求めの際に、リンスという単語は英語圏では通じません。いわゆる日本で、シャンプーの後にするリンスという商品を表す言葉はリンスではなく、conditioner（コンディショナー）と言います。

じゃあ、リンスって何なの？って感じですが、リンス（rinse）は本来「すすぐ」という動詞です。なので、ショップで “I’m looking for rinse（リンスを探しているのですが…）”と言っても店員さんには何のこっちゃ？ってなってしまう可能性大です。

A: Hi! May I help you?
B: Hi, I’m looking for shampoo and conditioner that suit my hair.
A: I see, what is your hair type?
B: Especially it gets oily in summer.

A: ハイ！いらっしゃいませ、何かお手伝いしましょうか？

大抵、ショップに入るとこんな感じで店員が話しかけてきます。そこで会話のキモとなる単語を覚えておくと便利ですよ。
